BILSTEIN B60 – Offroad Shock Absorbers
These are a superb Monotube gas, Australian-assembled product which greatly improves the ride and handling of these vehicles.
Developed in 2021, these are made in Sydney using both German and American components. They include large 66mm bodies with 60mm pistons.
The valving corrects the porpoising when towing large caravans and trailers. Clients love the ride comfort and improved handling.
Technically, the B60s are valved to control the large diameter torsion bar fitted to the front end, giving bump and rebound control under all road conditions. They are ideal for tough Australian outback conditions.
These shocks are designed with a robust monotube design, ensuring consistent, fade-free performance even in the toughest terrains. They provide unmatched stability and control, enhancing both safety and comfort.

Bilstein B60 shock absorbers are made in Australia for Australian conditions and have been specifically developed for the Chevrolet community.
The B60 features a 66mm steel outer body and 60mm bore, with a steel body and steel piston.
Bilstein B60 shock absorbers do not need to be serviced.
During development, five sets were sent out to travel Australia towing heavy caravans and boats as part of the R&D process.
Feedback was continually requested and the shocks were adjusted where necessary. Feedback is also requested following sales and used to help adapt and improve the product where required.

No. The Bilstein B60 shocks have been developed as a matched set, with both front and rear shocks working together.
This matched setup is designed to eliminate front-to-back pitching. Replacing only one pair creates a performance imbalance, which can lead to poor vehicle control.
Occasionally, oil vapours reaching the outside of the cooler shock body can condense and appear as a fine mist.
Bilstein B60 shocks have self-lubricating shafts, and this light misting is normal and helps keep the top seal lubricated.
However, actual dripping or heavy wet streaks can indicate a blown seal.
