FAQs
I’m travelling full time, how will I get my order?
We freight all over Australia, we can send to a Caravan park, business address, post office ahead of your arrival.
Are Polyair Red Series airbags suitable for lifted vehicles?
Yes, Polyair offers Red Series kits for a range of standard-height and raised coil-sprung vehicles. Fitment is vehicle-specific, so the correct kit needs to match your make, model, year and suspension height before ordering.
What PSI should I run in Polyair Red Series airbags?
Polyair Red Series airbags are designed to operate between 5 and 30 PSI. The ideal pressure depends on your vehicle and the load being carried. Use enough pressure to provide the support you need while maintaining a comfortable ride, and always follow the instructions supplied with your vehicle-specific kit.
Are Polyair Red Series Airbag Suspension kits good for towing caravans and heavy trailers?
Yes.
Polyair Bellows Airbag Suspension kits are designed to provide adjustable rear suspension support when towing or carrying additional loads. Correctly adjusted airbags can help bring a loaded vehicle back towards its normal ride height, reduce rear-end sag and improve stability and handling. The correct setup and pressure will depend on the vehicle, load and towing application.
Do Polyair Red Series airbags increase my vehicle's GVM or towing capacity?
No. Load-assist airbags do not automatically increase the manufacturer's GVM, GCM or towing capacity. They assist the existing suspension in managing load and maintaining ride height, but the vehicle must still remain within its applicable vehicle, axle and towing limits.
How do I know which Polyair Red Series Airbag Suspension kit fits my 4WD or ute?
The correct kit depends on your vehicle's make, model, year and suspension configuration, including whether it is standard height or has raised suspension. Polyair offers airbag suspension solutions across many popular Australian 4WDs, utes and vans, so vehicle details should be confirmed before ordering.
Can I install a Polyair Red Series Airbag Suspension kit myself?
Many Polyair Red Series load-assist kits are designed as bolt-on installations and are supplied with installation guidance. Polyair also provides installation information and video support. Installation requirements vary by vehicle, so the instructions for the specific kit should always be followed; professional installation is a sensible option where the customer isn't confident with suspension work.
Can I run my Polyair Red Series airbags with no air pressure when I'm not towing or carrying a load?
No. Polyair Red Series Airbag Suspension requires a minimum of 5 PSI in the airbags at all times, even when the vehicle is not towing or carrying a heavy load. On applications where the original bump stops are removed during installation, maintaining at least 5 PSI allows the airbag to provide bump-stop support while helping protect the airbag and suspension system.
How much air pressure should I run in Polyair Red Series Airbag Suspension?
The correct pressure depends on the vehicle and the load being carried.
Polyair recommends 5 - 30 psi and adjusting the pressure for ride comfort and vehicle levelling.
The ideal pressure depends on your vehicle and the load being carried. Increase or decrease the pressure to provide the support and ride comfort you need, while staying within the recommended operating range.
